.just mommy & me.

i was so excited to meet up with fellow photographer and the very talented, kelly anderson and her daughter last week.  kelly and i got to talking back-n-forth recently and she was mentioning doing a very special, super fun “mommy & me” shoot with her oldest, madelyn, who will be going off to kindergarten just weeks from now!  i jumped at the chance to be a part of making these memories for the two of them!  i had SO much fun watching their mother/daughter interaction with each other, they have such an amazing relationship.  here is just a taste of what is more to come soon.  i swear at only five years old, madelyn is a pro with that hula hoop, a born natural!

kelly, i’m i looking forward to our next adventure, i can’t wait! ;)

.nine.

love these two…..tonyia and trista are so connected, so full of life, so spunky, so talented, so respectful, beyond gorgeous and i could just go on and on and on!  they made my job super easy!  their mom wanted something special for their ninth birthday, so she thought they would love to have their very own photo session!  how cool is that!?!?  we had this session booked for months and due to super high winds, had to re-schedule but it was so worth it!  mom did amazing at putting their outfits all together, it was all perfection!  we are almost a month past their birthday (see how behind i am on posting-yikes) but i know the two of you had an extraordinary day celebrating….happy ninth birthday pretty girls!

.project 52. week. 26. independence

what a great theme…independence!  as soon as i saw our theme for this week i thought perfect timing to start really letting my son know the true meaning of this word, when it comes to “doing some things for ourselves”!  as an only child, you can have many things work in your favor, one in which “mom” does just about everything for you (secretly, i would do this for the rest of his life ;) ) but i know it will only benefit him to start becoming more independent and doing things on his own.  so on this particular day, i thought what a great time to start when he asked for lunch……..

yea, that last picture is him being pretty impressed with his work and taking it upon himself  to “frame” his creation! HA!

now lets continue with our 52 circle with my friend misty setzler, lubbock, texas photographer and she what she has for us this week.
