i had the honor of photographing these totally beautiful young ladies, jaycee and sydney, last month!  they were complete naturals, so easy going and had their styling down to perfection, they made my job easy and so much fun!

i’ve been a part of an amazing group of super talented photographers through the bloom forum and prior to this senior session i got to actually meet and chat with some of the other local photographers and loved every minute of our day and am looking forward to our next get together!

this week’s theme odd, was tuff at first, but then when i started trying to figure out something creative to shoot, i didn’t have to get as creative as i thought i would have to or did i (lol), all of a sudden i thought to myself, wait, our little family is the perfect odd number of 3!  and i wouldn’t have it any other way!

here we go with this week’s theme…..nostalgia.  i remember when my brother and i were kids my mom would keep track of our yearly growth spurts on one of the walls that led into our kitchen in our country farm house that we called home for over 30 years….and even though my parents no longer have that home i will forever remember those pen marks on the wall as a true childhood memory!  when my hubby and i and our little man moved into our new home a couple years back, i wanted to start those same memories and traditions, which i did.  but now fast forward to today where we will be leaving this marked-up kitchen wall behind, but not without amazing memories and pictures to remind us.  even amongst all the packing boxes, we will still be reminded of the stages our little guy  has grown through, not just by feet or inches but by leaps and bounds and in my opinion, just.way.too.fast!

we were back-to-school this week and i’ve been without my side-kick and feeling all alone!

been missing this little face around here from the hours of 7:55am to 2:40pm, but am starting to love when the school day is over and he gives me and daddy the run down of his new adventure called “first grade”……with true excitement running through his eyes!
