i know were into the new year but as our group started one week behind with our project 52 2011, this week will actually be our final and last week with the theme of self-portrait!  this is always a dreaded and very hard image for me to take, i’m usually not camera shy one bit but when i end up doing it all myself and OF myself i tend to not know how to act.  with that being said, i’m actually pretty thrilled how this one turned out, it’s not super creative by any means but it shows exactly how i feel and how much i’m looking forward to this new start of a fresh new year…….bring on 2012!

here we are on our last week of project 52, i know i say week 51 but our group was one week late starting this project this year so it is technically week 52 on the calendar and our last theme, which is winter.  These images may not look to “wintery” but when you live in the desert of arizona (not in the mountains of arizona) your winters tend to look this beautiful, chilly but pure sunshine and so as we have officially started winter break from school this past week, this is how we will be spending it.

wow, i cannot believe i am one week away from finishing this years project 52.  i admit, it’s been a huge challenge to get something photographed, edited and posted every week, and i did miss a couple here and there but for the most part stayed completely committed to this project and really enjoyed it!  thank you to my 52 bloom “#5″ group, it’s been such an honor to be in such an amazingly, talented group of photographers, that i now consider friends.

here’s is this weeks theme: memories.  i am so excited about our recent furry addition to our clan, within just the past week, this is raney’s two-week early christmas present, his new puppy.  his name is koop (as in short for kooper) and i’m so thrilled to be able to witness the memories these two are gonna start,  just as my hubby and i have with our other furry golden baby, koda for the past 10 years.  awwww, the memories they are gonna have, they are already the best of buds!

awww music is a huge deal in this household lately!  jb’s christmas cd has become a new favorite among this family and more specifically the song”drummer boy” with a little busta rhymes.  if you haven’t listened to it yet, i’d suggest you go right out and get it…….asap!

sorry i was late to the party this past week, here’s my 52 kitchen themed image.  wasn’t exactly made in my kitchen per say, but this sweet birthday cake given to me by my guys was made in “a” kitchen and given with a LOT of LOVE!
